Dinner plans close to home

We include Bellagio for its central location, landscaped pool courtyards, spa and broad choice of restaurants within the property.

Start with the days you want

We find it helpful to think of the Strip as a string of different bases rather than one compact neighborhood. A hotel that looks close on a map can involve indoor corridors, pedestrian bridges and a long walk from the room to the sidewalk. Choose the part of the boulevard that fits most of your plans, then leave some breathing room between them.

For a central base, Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas puts rooms, a spa and its pool deck close to the boulevard. Vdara Hotel & Spa sits farther back, which makes the route to the street worth considering. Its suite layouts and kitchenettes suit a more settled-in stay; check the exact room description if cooking equipment matters. Bellagio combines a central address with a wide range of dining, while The Venetian Resort Las Vegas brings suite accommodations and connected shopping farther north within our Center Strip group.

Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas anchors our South Strip selection. We would weigh its dedicated pool and spa against the extra journey to restaurants farther up the boulevard. Wynn Las Vegas gives us a North Strip option with landscaped pools, dining and a golf course. If most of your reservations sit near the opposite end of the Strip, plan transportation rather than assuming every outing will be a short stroll.

We would compare the room category before comparing the photographs: a separate living area, kitchenette or particular view depends on what you book. Ask about pool access, spa appointments and any facility charges that matter to your trip. Taxis and rideshares use designated pickup areas, and public transit stops may still require a walk through the property. In desert heat, a practical pickup point and time indoors can matter as much as a central address.

A few things worth knowing

Which of these Las Vegas hotels have suites?

Vdara Hotel & Spa and The Venetian Resort Las Vegas are especially useful starting points for suite accommodations. We recommend comparing the actual room layout, because “suite” does not always mean a bedroom separated by a door.

Can I walk between all these hotels?

You can use pedestrian routes along much of the Strip, but walking between every hotel on this list is not a short outing. We would group nearby plans together and use transportation for longer north-to-south journeys, especially in the heat.

Are pools and spa treatments included with a room?

Pool access rules and spa charges depend on the property and the booking. We suggest checking access, operating hours and treatment reservations directly before choosing a stay around either facility.

Where do I see prices and book a room?

Each “Check availability” button takes you to that hotel's listing on Hotels.com. Enter your dates and guest details there, then review the total in USD, any additional charges and the booking terms before paying.
